Recent incident on Foster Square

We’re aware of a serious incident that took place in Belle Isle yesterday and we know this news will be upsetting for many people in the neighbourhood.

Emergency services were called to an address on Foster Square on Thursday morning following concerns for welfare. Sadly, a woman died and a man has been arrested. Police have confirmed they’re not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident but as it’s a live investigation you may see continued police presence in the area.

This is a tragic situation, and our thoughts are with the woman’s family, friends and neighbours.

We know news of this nature is concerning, particularly for people living nearby or those who may have known the people involved.

We want to reassure customers that this appears to be an isolated incident, and there’s no indication of any wider risk to the wider neighbourhood.

We’re in contact with West Yorkshire Police and our local partners and will continue to monitor the situation closely.
