Armley sits to the west of Leeds, close to the River Aire and the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. Known for its strong sense of community, it’s a place where neighbours feel connected.
Residents enjoy a great mix of amenities, from local shops along Town Street and Armley Shopping Centre to nearby healthcare services and friendly local pubs. Hidden gems include Armley Park, one of Leeds’ largest green spaces with play areas and sports facilities, and the historic canal towpaths offering scenic walks throughout the year.

Getting around is easy with regular buses from Armley Town Street into Leeds city centre. The area is only around 2 miles from central Leeds and has convenient access to supermarkets and everyday essentials.

Young people can enjoy sports clubs and activities at Armley Leisure Centre and local community groups, with events and programmes running throughout the year.

Armley has a fascinating history, from its industrial roots in wool production to landmarks like Armley Mills, once the world’s largest woollen mill and now home to the Leeds Industrial Museum.
