SURPLUS TO PURPOSE
Hello, just wanted to share something that might be helpful if things are a bit tight right now. There are some great local initiatives working to make sure good food doesn't go to waste and gets to people who need it.
Basically, they team up with businesses to rescue perfectly good surplus food and then share it with the community. It's a win-win: less waste and more support for families.
If you're finding it hard to put food on the table, it might be worth looking into these kinds of projects in our neighbourhood. They're doing some really important work.

Following issues and concurs raised by multiple services, organisations such as LFHA, and you the residents has led to the police being successful in receiving funding to have an additional two mounted police on motorcycles designated to the Leeds area with a focus mainly on the South Leeds location.This is great news and will help to combat the issues residents have raised about motorcycles and e-bikes.

You neighbourhood officer attended the local community safety meeting today with the police, Leeds City Council officers, and your local councillors to raise resident concerns over drug dealing and reporting crime in general, along with the impact illegal motorcycles and e-bikes are causing within the neighbourhood. The police are aware of the barriers to reporting crime/incidents and are looking at ways they can make the process more customer friendly. There is also a request for funding to have further mounted police on motorcycles within the Leeds area.
