What is a Neighbourhood Plan?

A Neighbourhood Plan sets out our commitment to you and your community. We want to help build a strong community with you, your neighbours, local businesses, local charities and so many more.

No-one knows your neighbourhood better than you and your neighbours, so to work out how the plan might look, we want to be guided by you.

A Neighbourhood Plan isn’t about “fixing problems”, it's about having a common goal of building a strong community. However, we will try our best to make your neighbourhood the best it can be for you and your community.

We want to know what's important to you and what you'd like to see in your community. We also want to hear what works well; is there someone in your community doing wonderful things for others that should be celebrated? Do you have an idea for your community, such as setting up a group activity that you’d like to arrange but need funding or resources to set it up? We can’t promise we can help with everything but let’s start the conversation.

First Drop in Session

Pop into the drop in session on Wednesday 13th November between 10.30am & 12pm, to meet your neighbourhood team, discuss any issues and give us your ideas for the neighbourhood plan! This will be held at the Jennyfields Styan Cenre,Grantley Drive, Harrogate, HG3 2XU
