In 1974 the idea for Leeds Federated first came about when lots of small housing organisations in Leeds joined together. We officially registered as Leeds Federated in 1975 and have been helping people make a home ever since.
There have been key milestones along our 50 year journey to get us to where we are today, starting in 1979 when we built our first homes from scratch at Memorial Drive, right up to the present day when we completed the conversion of our office at Arthington House into flats earlier this year.
Helping people make a home is our core purpose and providing you a safe, secure, and affordable home as a base upon which to build your life, ambitions and family life is the reason we’re here.
With that in mind, we invite you to share your memories and stories from across the last 50 years about what living in a Leeds Federated home has meant for you and if it has given you and your family a place to flourish.
There are lots of different ways for you to share your memories, stories and get involved. You can:
Add a note to our Guestbook below - share a few sentences about what living in a Leeds Federated home has meant for you
Read stories in our Story Collection below - we'll be adding to this collection throughout the year so do check back to see what's new
Complete our Quick Poll below - choose which option describes how you feel about your Leeds Federated home
Get in touch by emailing us at news@lfha.co.uk- you can share photos, drawings and/or a longer story with us through email. Or, if you're happy to go on camera, you can send us a video...or we can arrange to come and film you
By taking part in our storytelling project you are agreeing that we have permission to share your memories and stories outside YourVoice. This could include channels such as our website, social media and reports/publications.
If you're happy to share your stories and memories but want to remain anonymous, please don't include your name or any identifiable information.
