Otley and Bramham sit on the edge of Leeds, surrounded by beautiful countryside and thriving village communities. Known for their welcoming atmosphere and strong local identity, both areas offer a balance of rural charm and excellent connections to the city.

Residents enjoy a great mix of amenities, from independent shops and cafés in Otley Market Place to village pubs and local businesses in Bramham. Popular local spots include the stunning Chevin Forest Park, perfect for walking and cycling, and Bramham Park, famous for hosting the annual Leeds Festival and outdoor events throughout the year.

Otley is part of the Otley and Yeadon ward, represented by councillors Colin Campbell, Ryk Downes and Sandy Lay, who are active in supporting local residents and community initiatives. Bramham sits within the Harewood ward, where local councillors support village projects and rural communities across the area.

Getting around is easy with regular bus routes connecting Otley and Bramham to Leeds, Harrogate and nearby towns. Otley is around 10 miles from Leeds city centre, while Bramham offers quick access to the A1(M) and surrounding Yorkshire countryside.

Residents enjoy spending time outdoors at Otley Chevin Forest Park, Wharfemeadows Park and the open green spaces surrounding Bramham. Families make the most of local playgrounds, sports clubs and seasonal community events held throughout the year.

Young people can get involved in activities through local schools, sports clubs and community groups across both areas. Otley’s thriving arts and music scene, alongside village events in Bramham, help bring communities together all year round.

Stay active at local leisure facilities including Otley Leisure Centre, community gyms and sports clubs. Residents also support local teams including Otley Rugby Club and cricket clubs across the surrounding villages.

Otley and Bramham both have fascinating histories. Otley is a historic market town with roots dating back to Saxon times, while Bramham is well known for the historic Bramham Park estate and its role in Yorkshire’s cultural and agricultural heritage.

To help us keep your home up to standard, we carry out a Home Condition Survey every 5 years – this is sometimes known as a Stock Condition Survey. The survey highlights any urgent repairs that you might not be aware of and helps us plan for future improvements in

    Have you heard of the Crisis and Resilience Fund?

    It’s a £1 billion annual UK Government scheme running from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029, providing local councils with multi-year funding to help low-income households handle sudden financial emergencies and build long-term financial stability.

    You may be eligible for emergency help for essentials like food, fuel, clothing, and household appliances, as well as short-term assistance with housing costs and rent shortfalls.

    We loved seeing customers' photos of their gardens last year, so we're bringing the competition back.

    A Neighbourhood Plan sets out our commitment to you and your community. We want to help build a strong community with you, your neighbours, local businesses, local charities and so many more.

    No-one knows your neighbourhood better than you and your neighbours, so to work out how the plan might look, we want to be guided by you.

    A Neighbourhood Plan isn’t about “fixing problems”, it's about having a common goal of building a strong community. However, we will try our best to make your neighbourhood the best it can be for you and your community.

We can’t promise we can help with everything but let’s start the conversation.
