    CLOSED: This discussion has concluded.

We want to make sure our customers continue to feel safe and happy in their neighbourhood. In some areas we do extra checks before we let a home to make sure that this can happen.

We call this the Local Lettings Plan and anyone moving into a Leeds Federated home on The Arthingtons, Moor Road, Lake Terrace or Prospect Crescent needs to pass these extra checks.

    They include:

References – must be received from a minimum of two sources, one of which should be from a previous or current landlord

Address history – must be provided to cover a full 3 years for referencing purposes

Nuisance or Anti-social behaviour – Anyone applying for a home in this area must not have committed violent or anti-social behaviour or any other form of nuisance.

Drug or alcohol abuse – Anyone applying for a home in this area who has a history of drug or alcohol abuse must be able to prove that they have been working effectively with support for a minimum of 6 months and provide a reference from their support worker to confirm that they have not suffered a relapse in this period.

Tenancy support – Anyone applying for a home who has a general housing support need will need to prove that they are actively working with support services to help them to make their tenancy a success.

If you have lived with us for some time, you will know we contact you every few years to see whether you think we still need these extra checks in place, if you have feedback on how we might do things differently and whether you think the current Local Lettings Plan is working.

So, here's where you come in. Please complete a quick survey by clicking here by 17:00 on 13th March 2026.

Thanks for helping us shape the way we do things.

Community Walk about - skips provided!

On 29th October 2025 we were in your area for a community walkabout. We provided two large skips, which filled up very quickly! It was great to see customers making use of the skips on the day and it is clear the improvement it has made. It all helps towards keeping the community clean and tidy so thank you for everyone's help last week.

If you still have items you need to get rid of, please visit the Leeds City Council website: Book an unwanted items collection | Leeds.gov.uk.

Hunslet Lake Park Community Clean Up

On 28th May 2025 Litter Free Leeds and Getting Clean joined us for a litter pick in your area. There was food, games and chat about all things from repairs to anti-social behaviour. Let us know if you'd like to see more events like this in your area by getting in touch!

    Hunslet Festival

On 16th June 2025 we headed to Hunslet Festival! Tin can alley was back by popular demand but the beanbag throw seemed to steal the show this year! It was great to be a part of such an action packed day!
