Your Neighbourhood Plan feedback for East Ardsley and Stanley

We have been working to deliver your first Neighbourhood Plan and it is now drawing to a close. We wanted to let you know what actions we have taken in response to your feedback and how we have shaped our services locally. One of the outcomes of the first plan is that it would be of benefit to combine it with other plan areas so that we can have more impact.

We are moving Stanley into our Wakefield and District Neighbourhood Plan and renaming this Neighbourhood Plan which will be known as East Ardsley. Please take a look at the feedback document below to see what we have done for your existing neighbourhood plan area, and what we are planning to continue to work on.

We will start asking you for comments on what we can do next shortly. A new survey will be available between 5th December 2025 and 19th December 2025 for you to let us know your current priorities. You will be able to access this between these dates on this page. Residents in the Stanley area will be contacted when we start consultation for the Wakefield and District Neighbourhood Plan, in the new year.

Your 2024/25 Neighbourhood Plan Update.

We held a consultation with a number of customers to attempt to come to an agreement with parking in the close. Unfortunately this could not be agreed, however since the removal of un road worthy vehicles the issue of parking has resolved itself.

Interventions by LFHA has now resolved the dog faeces problem. However we will continue to monitor this.

A suitable existing location has now been found for secure parking of a motor bike.

Investigation was carried out to see if we could provide additional washing line space. It was decided that this would impact on the communal garden area and also have an impact on the ground maintenance.

A fence was erected to the side of Apple tree Court to prevent youths jumping over the wall and causing a nuisance within the court. Since the installation this behaviou has stopped.

LFHA have also been working with customers to improve other antisocial behaviour, although there are still a few issues, it has been much improved.
