Your neighbourhood plan for Meanwood North

We’d like to work with you to create a Neighbourhood Plan for your area.

What is a Neighbourhood Plan?

A Neighbourhood Plan sets out our commitment to you and your community. We want to help build a strong community with you, your neighbours, local businesses, local charities and so many more.

No-one knows your neighbourhood better than you and your neighbours, so to work out how the plan might look, we want to be guided by you.

A Neighbourhood Plan isn’t about “fixing problems”, it's about having a common goal of building a strong community. However, we will try our best to make your neighbourhood the best it can be for you and your community.

We want to know what's important to you and what you'd like to see in your community. We also want to hear what works well; is there someone in your community doing wonderful things for others that should be celebrated? Do you have an idea for your community, such as setting up a group activity that you’d like to arrange but need funding or resources to set it up? We can’t promise we can help with everything but let’s start the conversation.

What's Happened?

We held a drop-in session on Thursday 17 October 1.30 pm to 3.30pm at the Meanwood Community Centre as an opportunity to discuss creating this Neighbourhood Plan for your community.

We also hand posted leaflets during October with lots of different ways to complete the survey and other ways you can share your thoughts and ideas about your Neighbourhood.

What's Next?

Lisa has listed all of her upcoming Estate Inspections which appear as 'Key Dates' on the right-hand side of this page. Feel free to come and say hello when she is in your area!

We are now developing the Meanwood North Neighbourhood Plan which will be ready by January 2025. If you have any more ideas please do get in touch with Lisa.
