Your Neighbourhood Plan feedback for Rothwell and Robin Hood

We have been working to deliver your first Neighbourhood Plan and it is now drawing to a close. We wanted to let you know what actions we have taken in response to your feedback and how we have shaped our services locally. One of the outcomes of the first plan is that it would be of benefit to combine it with other plan areas so that we can have more impact.

We are combining the Rothwell & Robin Hood and Oulton neighbourhood plan areas together this time, and this area will be known as Rothwell, Robin Hood & Oulton. Please take a look at the feedback document below to see what we have done for your existing neighbourhood plan area, and what we are planning to continue to work on.

We will start asking you for comments on what we can do next shortly. A new survey will be available between 5th December 2025 and 19th December 2025 for you to let us know your current priorities. You will be able to access this between these dates by visiting this page.

Please let us know if you are interested in attending this event by completing the quick poll by Friday 24th May 2025.

You asked for better lighting in the carpark areas

We will be visiting the area to look at what options are available. Your Neighbourhood Officer will follow this with a tenant consultation. Date to be confirmed

This could potentially see a rise in cost of the current service charge. Please complete the quick poll by 1st December 2025 to confirm if you agree or disagree with paying an addition cost for extra lighting in areas.

Estate Inspections

Upcoming Estate Inspections have been added to the 'Key Dates' section. If you are interested in taking part in the inspections, please register your interest by contacting Neighbourhood Officer, Rebecca Janes

Recently, Neighbourhood Officer, Rebecca Janes, hosted a hanging basket workshop in Jarvis Square. The event brought together residents from the Robin Hood older person’s scheme to plant some spring bulbs and flowers ready for summer.

Keely Watson, Lettings Supervisor and avid gardener, also attended the event and shared her expertise with residents on how to arrange the plants and what to do to keep them healthy and looking beautiful in the summer months.

Residents enjoyed the morning and shared feedback on how they appreciate seeing more of our presence in their neighbourhood and that they’d love this to be an annual event!

One resident said, “What an amazing thing to do for the community. It’s lovely to see such smiley, friendly staff out here in our neighbourhood.  I think the relaxed, friendly approach of this event has been really lovely."
