Bramley sits to the west of Leeds city centre, offering a strong sense of community alongside excellent local amenities. It’s an area where neighbours feel connected, with a mix of long-established residents and new families choosing to call it home.

Residents benefit from a wide range of amenities, including shopping at Bramley Shopping Centre, which hosts major retailers like Tesco and a variety of smaller stores. Local services such as Bramley Health Centre are easily accessible, and there are plenty of friendly pubs and cafés throughout the area.

Green spaces are a real highlight. Bramley Fall Park is a much-loved spot, with open fields, woodland walks and play areas for children. Nearby, the Leeds and Liverpool Canal provides scenic routes for walking and cycling, while Bramley Park offers additional outdoor space for sports and relaxation.

Bramley is part of the Bramley & Stanningley ward. Your councillors, Tom Hinchcliffe, Adel Rae and Kevin Ritchie are active in supporting local initiatives and community projects.

Getting around is convenient, with Bramley railway station providing direct links into Leeds city centre in just a few minutes. Regular bus services also connect the area to surrounding parts of Leeds, and road links make commuting straightforward.

For families and young people, there are a variety of activities and facilities available, including local sports clubs, youth groups and community centres. Bramley Baths, a historic Edwardian swimming pool, remains a popular hub for fitness and wellbeing.

Stay active at local gyms or enjoy outdoor exercise in the many parks and green spaces. Residents also take pride in supporting local sports teams and community events throughout the year.

Bramley has a rich industrial heritage, with roots in textile production and milling. Today, it blends that history with modern living, making it a welcoming and well-connected part of Leeds.

    We visited the area at the start of the month and we continue to work with customers on untidy gardens, where needed. The loose block paving on Poplar Gate has now been repaired.

    We’ll be in your area again on 5th August – all residents are welcome to join the area visit. We’ll be walking around the area, checking for repairs, health and safety issues and neighbourhood management issues. We want to hear from you, so please join us if you can.
